chic claw necklace

This chic necklace is made of a unique reddish-brown horn in a claw shape, hanging from an antiqued chain. Click here to order.

Are you telling me that these aren't the same person?!
Ok, so I admit, they look nothing alike now, but last night Sky and I went to see the Adjustment Bureau, and I was so positive that they were the same person that I made a bet on it. On the way home we were going over details of the bet, and I, being overly confident of course, said it would be for an hour long back rub. Luckily I had a moment of hesitation and changed it to 20 minutes just before we got home, because Sky had his stop watch out to make sure he got every second of it ha ha. Well, I am sure I deserved it, but in my defense both of the actors were wearing hats.

Don’t be square, be rectangle.

These gold colored earrings are carefully hand twisted into a rectangle shape and hang from gold-plated ear-wires. Click here to order. So, you know that Rihanna song “Hate That I Love You”? Well, to be honest I never really understood it until recently. Then I discovered that there are a few things I hate that I love…

Exhibit A: what I like to call the cockatoo bun—I am sure that I don’t need to ask you if you see the resemblance (the bird is the one on the right). I love this bun because it is so convenient, but I hate it because I look like, well, a bird.
Not that looking like a bird is a bad thing, I just don'tpull it off as gracefully as this little guy does. I think I may outlaw the cockatoo bun for the time being...meaning I should probably go change my hair right now.

bright buri seed necklace

This necklace features interesting hand carved buri seeds in blue teardrops and red rodelles hanging in an arrow shape from a gold-colored and antiqued chain. Click here to order.

So on to more important things—we have been searching for Girl Scouts for weeks; aren’t they usually the people you can’t seem to get rid of? We finally spotted one in front of Wal-mart yesterday, but didn’t have cash. So naturally I begged her to wait for us to go shopping and come back. She looked a little startled, maybe she doesn’t have grown adults beg her for cookies that often or something, weird. So we went through the store, while starving, and ended up buying things that we would normally never. I felt like your everyday classy American; we had mac and cheese, caramel popcorn, regular popcorn, hot dogs, chocolate whoppers and little cookie dough things—you get the idea. It was embarrassing, and of course we happened to run into everyone. I could almost feel their judgmental eyes as they glanced into our cart.

Anyway, this morning I got straight out of bed, threw all my candy away, gave myself a little pat on the back and headed out the door...only to return home after class and dig them out again. It’s true, I am currently munching on the whoppers right now. In my defense the trash was recently changed and the whopper box was closed and laid nicely on a pile of clean grocery bags. Ok, maybe there is no getting around this...maybe I am a savage. Eh, oh well, I guess I will just go finish the box to “comfort” myself.

geometric geometry

Here is one of my more recent designs. This necklace is made of hand cut wood in a cool geometric pattern, dark brown leather cord and a hand-twisted clasp. It is pictured on Gaby, who is one of the nicest, most pretty girls on Earth. Click here to order. I have a whole slew (I like that word) of new designs and a giveaway coming up! So I am sorry if you felt I had gone missing. I kind of did, but I am back now. Well, not technically missing, I'm just missing out on all the fun (like blogging) because of my studies. Don’t be surprised if you find me if you find me under a mile-high pile of school books eating a piece of paper to survive. “Teacher, I am sorry, uh, I ate my homework.”

when life gives you lemons

Do you remember the earrings from this post? Well here are similar ones in orange. The beads are from India, how cool is that? My awesome sister brought them back for me last time she went. They are pictured on beautiful Darlene. To order click here.

I thought I would share with you one of my favorite new pictures. You are very welcome. Words cannot describe how much I love this. These are my nieces and nephew at the lemonade stand they ran last summer at a garage sale—making the big bucks no doubt. I think my favorite part is that there is no lemonade in their pitcher and they all have little red mustaches, ha ha. Coincidence? I think not. They are the sweetest kids ever, and they are a ton of fun.

Doesn’t this picture just make you want to be a kid again? No concerns or worries, just fun. Now there is an idea. Do you think there are any fortune-telling-wish-granting machines like the one from the movie Big (you know the one with the very young Tom Hanks)? Well one of those, except the opposite. If so, do tell—I wouldn’t mind managing a lemonade stand myself this summer.
