Caution: high waters
this post. So my husband and I just got back from a really wonderful trip to D.C. with the family...to a completely flooded apartment. They tore up all the floors and portions of the walls and currently have heavy duty fans drying the framework. I think my favorite part of all of this was having 6 fully grown men, wearing waders and gloves, going through my clothing—well, uh, that’s not awkward. Anyway, we now have most of our belongings in a nice large pile quarantined from the contamination. Life. Is. Good. No really, it is. I think these experiences really help put life in perspective; a lot of this stuff just doesn’t matter. Besides, let’s look on the bright side, the terrible yellowing 60’s vinyl on the kitchen floor went completely unharmed. That stuff truly is invincible. I am thinking of contacting the army, because they should really consider using it for tank material.
