sneak peak
Sneak peak of photo session I did with my sister. Yes, she is a model—I am quite certain most of the human population wouldn’t look nearly as natural holding their hands like that. I took these pictures in the attic this afternoon. Germany is the most beautiful place. Ever. I mean, even the attics have beautiful natural light. Oh, and I can’t wait to post pictures of the beyond-words-cute-little-quant-village we are currently living in. Today consisted of waking up early and going on a jog, saying “guten tag” to some cows grazing in a nearby field, making breakfast, reading, working out, drawing a portrait of my lovely cousin, taking photos of my sister, eating a delicious dinner on the balcony, and pinching myself over and over to see if this beautiful place is for real. It is. The only way it could possible be better is if my husband could be here too.

the great outdoors
We went camping with some of our good friends this weekend and it was really fun and really beautiful. I love nature. In fact, remember when this youtube video was huge? Well a week before I saw this video my husband and I were on our way to the store, no big deal, when I saw a double-rainbow in the sky. It was the first one I had ever seen, and I was amazed, awestruck really…“Holy, wow! This is amazing! There are two of them! Two of them! Look at that! Wow! Oh my! That is so beautiful! I have never seen anything like this! Pretty! Look at all the different colors!” and so on and so forth—you get the point. So when I saw that video I got all sorts of embarrassed/defensive, “What is the big deal? I think it is kind of nice that someone still appreciates nature.” It was really funny though; I guess I will just thank my lucky stars that no one got me on film.
Other things I have enjoyed about this week:
- Catching up with my brother and sister-in-law.
- Getting "the usual" at Flap Jacks with Brandilyn.
- Sleeping through two movies at the drive-in.
- Spending time with Sky before we have to say goodbye for over a month :(.
- Having my sis call me to read me excerpts out of her journal about our little kid arguments. Oh, we were so comical we just didn’t know it yet.
- And, last but not least, eating the smore-makings we accidently forgot to bring to the campout when we got back. Sorry Emily and Chris!

guten tag!
Did you see the title? Yep, I have been learning my German (I leave next week!)...So far I only know how to say hello. Oh well, good things take time.
So, I decided to do a weekly/whenever I feel like it outfit post—could be fun. And my sweet mother was sweet enough to take the photos. Is that too many “sweets” for one sentence? Nah, I don’t think so, she is quite sweet. However, I am slightly embarrassed because I didn’t realize just how short that skirt was when I bought it. “What?! 8 bucks?! I am getting it!” So, if you come over to my apartment and see a pillow on my couch that looks just like this skirt you won’t have to wonder very long.
Do you want to know something else? I have always been embarrassed about my fair skin tone…“Wow, your legs are like so pale they are blinding me!” Thanks punk. Go put on some sunglasses! Oh well, I have come to terms with it and now I rarely go outside without SPF 50—let’s see who will be cracking the jokes in 50 years (insert: evil laugh).

my dad
He has climbed the Grand Teton 5 times since this picture.
My parents and four brothers. He always put the family first.
I realize this is a day late, but better late than never right?! Well, at least that is what people say to comfort themselves. Consider myself comforted. Here are a couple pictures I came across this week of my dad. I have been helping my mom go through their papers/pictures and we have found quite a few treasures in the process. I will try to post more later, but for now I want to give you a brief introduction to a really great person.
He stands up for what is right, even when it isn’t the popular or fun thing to do.
He is humble, even though he would have a lot to brag about—I mean look at me! Ha ha, kidding.
He taught me almost everything I know about the Gospel.
He can accomplish anything he puts his mind to.
He taught me how to run fast and jump over hurdles.
He is a great storyteller.
He and my mom took us kids along everywhere they traveled.
He taught us to work hard.
He is a great foosball player, rock climber, and carp-shooter.
He is the best dad I could ever have hoped for.

Sahara
Meet Sahara . Yes, she is lovely. Yes, her hair looks like that when she just got out of the shower (literally 5 minutes before). Yes, her eyes are that light blue. Yes, she is hardly wearing any makeup and looks ammmazing. No, she would not give me that shirt. Ha ha. Thinking of graduation is really exciting; however, I will really miss people like her, Brandilyn, Emilys (not a typo, there are two of them), Brittany , and the list goes on... Thanks for being my friends! You can send the bill in the mail; I just won't mention that we don't have an apartment right now, shhhhhh...

Cats and Cardigans

Here are some photos I took this past weekend of my beautiful friend Brandilyn (remember my clothing sister?). She is such a beautiful person, inside and out. She claims that she is going to be one of those cat ladies when she gets older; however, I picture more of a cat queen. I mean, how fitting that a stray cat would stop by and stay for a few pics—they just can’t stay away from her. However, the title "cat" is hardly appropriate. This little guy was a lion, prowling through the 5 ft. 5 in. grass plains—I am sure he really hates it when they mow the lawn.

L.O.V.E
Here are a few more photos from the wedding. I am adding them slowly but surely. After looking at these pictures I have observed a couple of things: they are a beautiful couple, and they are clearly very much in love. End of observations. You know, I might be ok with a little P.D.A. at the movie theater if it looked like this... Admit it, you agree.

My friend, June
Other tremendous news: the lilacs have started blooming, and I have purchased the tickets to Germany! I can’t wait to see my Sis, and my Bro-in-law, and my cousin, and Paris, and the flowers, and the windmills, and the fields with sheep…the list goes on…
