My brother and I
This is the beautiful Riga, the capital city of Latvia. My mom, dad, brother,
and I recently flew to Latvia then traveled by bus and train through Lithuania,
where my brother lived for a couple years while serving a mission for
our church. Latvia, as you can see, was really beautiful, and the people were
extremely friendly. I joke I joke, the majority were not very friendly—just a cultural
difference. I was going to ask my brother how to say “Hello” in Latvian, but
after a few minutes and a few cold expressions from the local passersby I
decided I would have no need.
We ate dinner in an authentic, candlelit wine cellar from
the 13th century. The food, dress and decor took you way back. It
was a really great time, especially after we realized our apple juice was
really wine ha ha.
