50's themed photo shoot
Welcome to the
50's; the days of handsome, well-dressed men and dangerously good-looking flight attendants. I am, of course, in no
way saying that they are no longer attractive—Alec, cough, Baldwin , cough. Anyway, if you hadn’t guessed these
are some pics from a photo shoot I styled and photographed recently. Hope you enjoy them!

People Watching
My husband and I went to this pier on one of our first dates, once when we were engaged and a couple of times since we have been married. It has become a little sentimental to us me. There is always so much going on, but somehow it is enjoyable and relaxing every time. We never take our chances at the sparkling boxes with the rigged contraptions, though the hanging prizes are “soon to be ours” if the shouting young man is correct. We don’t sit for a portrait that ends up a caricature whether it was meant to or not. We never return triumphant, staggering under the weight of a larger-than-life stuffed frog. We just observe the people and the place. We watch the pelicans sit eagerly by the weathered fishermen hoping to steal a catch, we feel the uneven wood as we walk, we smell fresh popcorn in the air, and we listen to the sounds of the waves and the old metal Ferris wheel slowly turning in circles. We just walk, think, see, smell, and maybe drop a coin or two into the hat of someone more actively involved.
These pictures are from over the Christmas break when we went to the pier with my husband’s family. It was so nice to spend a few weeks with them.
We got back from Europe last week, spent another few days with my husband's family in California, and now we are on to new adventures...
